This seminar will provide attendees with an overview of the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design. Specifically, this course will focus on: problem application areas in commercial facilities, accessibility requirements in existing facilities, accessibility requirements to and within special occupancies such as assembly areas, employee work areas, and press boxes. We will also focus on the new guidelines for toilet rooms and other aspects of the built environment. The major differences between the 1991 ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) and the 2010 Standards for Accessible Design will be highlighted throughout the presentation. Significant differences between the Florida Accessibility Code and the 2010 ADA Standards will also be reviewed.
