In-Firm Go-To Training Seminars Now Available

United Spinal has developed a series of 1.5 – 2 hour seminars that can be provided for your firm via Go-To Training. All you need is a computer to take advantage of these specialized accessibility courses that will provide AIA Members with 1.5 – 2.0 CES Learning Units applicable towards HSW credit (depending on course length). We will tailor each seminar to cover the unique accessibility requirements applicable in your jurisdiction.

The 3 topics available for the Go-To Training format are as follows:

  • Accessibility Requirements of the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design and your State’s Building Code Impacting Commercial Construction.
    Earn 1.5 – 2.0 AIA CES Learning Units (HSW) for $20.00 per staff member participating.
  • Accessibility Requirements of the Fair Housing Accessibility Guidelines and the Building Code Impacting Residential Construction.
    Earn 1.5 – 2.0 AIA CES Learning Units (HSW) for $20.00 per staff member participating.
  • Accessibility Requirements Impacting Existing Buildings (Alterations, Additions & Changes of Occupancy)
    Earn 1.5 – 2.0 AIA CES Learning Units (HSW) for $20.00 per staff member participating.

Accessible Outdoor Spaces online course registered with the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System now available!

United Spinal Association staff are able to provide this on-line 1.25 hours long course Accessible Outdoor Spaces. The course covers the key technical requirements that apply to accessible outdoor spaces including: accessible gardens, play areas and swimming pools. Focus will also be on the requirements of the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design for the elements that constitute accessible exterior routes, including: accessible walking surfaces, ramps, curb ramps, parking, protruding objects, and accessibility building blocks so that attendees can incorporate these features into their design work.
