This course will provide an overview of North Carolina state & federal accessibility requirements, including new access standards & harmonization with federal laws, including the Revised ADA/ABA Accessibility Guidelines and the ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG).

Common problem application areas including exterior & interior accessible routes, accessible parking, options for vertical access & toilet and bathing facilities will be discussed. Alterations to existing buildings, accessible means of egress and residential accessibility and compliance with the Federal Fair Housing Act will also be covered.
